Influencial Books

Hot, Flat and Crowded by Thomas Friedman

This is a well researched and sourced book about the causes of Climate Change. Very thorough. Read this book before you deny...

The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee

Terrific book that explains how policies initially enacted to repress black and latinX people have, over time, also impacted white people.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

A Classic book on taking charge of your life and your relationships with other people. This book has been invaluable to me since I read it in the mid '90's. I have used this book to initiate discussions with small groups of employees for several years now.

Moneyball by Michael Lewis

Michael Lewis is an outstanding story teller, has written many outstanding books. Moneyball explains how the business of baseball changed. Great book.

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

Outstanding book that opened my eyes up to critical thinking, behavioral economics and decision theory. Kahneman won the Nobel Prize for Economics based on this research that he largely conducted with Amos Tversky. Fascinating! (to me)

Good to Great, by Jim Collins

Very well researched book, studying pairs of companies over a period of decades, and articulating why some companies took off with sustained excellence, and others did not.
